• Fixed CLI
  On Windows, updating no longer fails with "Sharing violation" when FileFortress is also open in another window or the desktop app. The update now asks you to close it first, and if a file is still in use it puts your previous version back instead of leaving the update half-finished.

  If this update itself stops with "Sharing violation", close every FileFortress window, including the desktop app, and run the update again.

Send files to any cloud

• New
  Send files and whole folders from your computer to Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, OneDrive, Google Drive, or a folder on another drive, with files upload or Send to remote in the desktop app. Nothing else to install.
• New
  Every send shows a preview first and never deletes or replaces a file that's already there. Each file is checked once sent and labelled with what happened.

  Stop a send at any time with Ctrl+C, the Stop button, or by quitting the app. A half-sent file never shows up at the destination.
• New Desktop
  On OneDrive and Google Drive, pick any folder at the top of the drive, or create a new one, right from the Send dialog.

Adding OneDrive and Google Drive in the desktop app works again

• Fixed Desktop
  Adding a OneDrive or Google Drive remote in the desktop app no longer fails with "Failed to add remote" after the sign-in prompts.
• Improved
  A download that hits a dropped connection or a busy provider is now retried automatically, instead of failing straight away.

Download whole folders

• New
  Download a whole folder, or everything on a remote, in one go: add --recursive to files download, or use Download folder in the desktop app's File Explorer. Files you already have are skipped, and one failed file doesn't stop the rest.

  This release includes a security fix. We recommend updating.
• Improved
  Google Drive is now always added with your own OAuth app. The remotes add gdrive command points you to remotes add oauth --provider gdrive, which walks you through setup. Google Drive remotes you already have keep working.
• New Desktop
  When you add Google Drive in the desktop app, you can choose read-only access or access that can also delete files, which removing duplicates needs.
• Fixed Desktop
  First-run setup in the desktop app no longer stalls when you choose Google Drive.
• Improved
  First-run setup now lets you connect OneDrive with your own OAuth app, as well as with the one-click sign-in.
• Fixed Desktop
  Scanning, enriching and setting up remotes in the desktop app now show live progress instead of stalling at 0%.

  On Windows, files in subfolders of a Local remote no longer go missing from recursive listings.

One-click OneDrive, and Google Drive connections that stay connected

• New
  Connect OneDrive with a single browser sign-in — no registering your own app, no copying client IDs and secrets.
• Improved
  OneDrive connections made this way renew their own access directly with Microsoft, without going through FileFortress's servers.
• Fixed
  Google Drive connections using your own OAuth app no longer stop working after about a week. The setup steps now cover the Google publishing setting that caused it.
• Improved
  Setting up your own OAuth app now walks you through it step by step for Google and Microsoft, instead of asking for a client ID with no explanation. Connecting OneDrive this way no longer asks for a client secret, which Microsoft desktop apps don't issue.

  Google Drive connections set to include all folders now index files at the top level of your Drive, and pick up folders you create later. Re-add an existing connection to get this.

  Re-authorizing a storage connection no longer clears its encryption settings and folder selection.

  Scripted setups that asked for encryption are no longer created without it. Adding a Google Drive remote with --non-interactive used to accept the encryption options, ignore them, and report success — if you set one up that way, check it and re-add it if needed.
