Why We Built File Fortress

We looked at all the similar services available and found a critical flaw: none of them provided a truly secure way to get information about your files. Most services require you to upload your data to their servers, creating privacy risks and potential security vulnerabilities.

That's why we chose a different approach. File Fortress uses a local CLI application, which means:

We don't store data about your files on our servers - your file information stays on your device
Complete privacy - only encrypted metadata that you control
True security - your files never leave your trusted cloud providers
What We Do Store on Our Servers

We keep minimal data for account management: your name, email, device names you choose, and a count of connected cloud storage providers. This allows us to manage your account and enforce subscription limits - that's the only purpose.
